Disputes and Recovery
Disputes over rights to a Domain Name are common.
Most disputes can and should be settled through direct negotiation
with the opposing party. If you are not able to reach a satisfactory
settlement, you can turn to alternative dispute resolution.
There are a number of approved Providers to administer the
Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). The
dispute resolution procedure is affordable and can be conducted
online. Cases are usually concluded 2 months after their filing.
The decision rendered by the appointed panelist(s) is binding
unless it is appealed in court within 10 days. Although anyone
can file a complaint, in order to enhance your chances of
reaching a satisfactory outcome, you should consider the assistance
of an experienced party.
